ACUSON Secuoia is the winner of the RED DOT award in the nomination for best design.

Technical characteristics:

  1. Frequency range: Typically, it is between 1 and 18 MHz, which allows for a wide range of ultrasound waves to be used to visualize different tissues and organs.
  2. Number of channels: Siemens Sequoia can have from 32 to 512 channels. More channels allow for higher resolution and more detailed images.
  3. Depth of penetration: Typically, it is up to 30 cm, which allows visualization of both superficial and deeply located organs and structures.
  4. Resolution: This depends on the type of transducer and scan parameters, but typically provides detailed visualization of structures down to a few millimeters in size.
  5. Doppler options: Siemens Sequoia can incorporate various Doppler options, such as color Doppler mapping and spectral Doppler analysis, to assess blood flow and diagnose cardiac and vascular disease.
  6. 4D imaging: The system can support 4D imaging mode, which allows for real-time, three-dimensional images, which is particularly useful for fetal studies and organ motion studies.
